Rheumatology

BMS is focused on turning possibilities into promise for patients with immune-mediated rheumatic diseases. But we have more discoveries to make, and we need passionate innovators like you to help us.

We pioneered the science of modulating the body’s immune response to treat disease, beginning with our research in rheumatoid arthritis. Building and expanding on that foundation, we continue to pursue innovative science across rheumatic diseases such as psoriatic arthritis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s syndrome.

Because rheumatic conditions can behave very differently from person to person, we leverage our knowledge of underlying genetic mechanisms of disease to guide decisions from drug discovery to development. Our advancements have led to eight compounds in development, as we aim to make long-term remission and, ultimately, a cure, a reality for patients.
